I had my final loop on Thursday. I noticed that my App Status just flipped from Under Consideration to Application Submitted. I am assuming that is a rejection. I haven’t heard from recruiter yet. Does anyone have a success story where that happened? #interview #rejection
Just Thursday, so it is maybe nothing since I haven’t heard from the recruiter. I was just basing it on the the threads I read on here that changing from Under Consideration to Application Submitted after a loop usually meant rejection
It is likely that the role you applied was filled. Is the job title still linked to a job description in your Application Dashboard? If not, then reach out to the recruiter for clarification.
It could be that. I also told the recruiter that I was location agnostic, just wanted the role. The application and role that I was “under consideration” for was in city X, yet the team I interviewed with was actually in city Y. So who knows what it means. I just thought the app status change had to mean something.
I had it happen where it went from “Under Consideration” to “Application Submitted” and it was a rejection. I technically still have not heard about the update on the role, but I didn’t do the full interview loop for it. I’m assuming it was a rejection based on the fact that it’s been 2 months. Ha.
Update: I got rejected with Fit for Amazon, but not for role
Sorry to hear that, but what does that mean?
Apparently I passed the LP portion but failed the tech portion so now they are trying to locate another role for me on another team at Amazon.
I guess you are one of the fortunate ones to have such details about your interview outcome. Normally, they don’t give any details about where you might have failed or the recruiters I was working with were not such transparent with me. 😀 Good luck with the rest of the process.
In my experience, the status would change after the recruiter connects with you (either phone or email). And after rejection it usually moves to “no longer under consideration”. So I guess you are not rejected - good luck !!
