I have a virtual onsite scheduled with Amazon this week and I have prepared a spreadsheet for LP with each principle on a column and 2-3 stories for each one of them. Question is, is it possible for me to keep it open on my second monitor and refer to it in case I forgot the relevant stories ? Can I disclose that to my interviewer or would it look bad ? I'd rather focus my energy on the other prep rather than trying to remembering the stories.
Yes you can, you can even put it on paper if that’s what you prefer. Just don’t spend too much time trying to look for your notes, and keep eye contacts. I’ve been in many BIE debrief, once in a while an interviewer will raise the issue that candidates are reading their notes. BR and HM always say “everyone has their own preferred way, but did he/she answer your question? If so, then there’s nothing to worry about”
Thanks, do you think if I disclose it beforehand is better ? That would depend on the recruiter I guess but I am just trying to understand if there are any internal guidelines inside Amazon for it
I’m pretty sure you can ask recruiter and he/she will say it’s fine. There’s no internal guideline
BIE is a tech role now. So expect Easy LC Python questions and Stats and maths as well. People now will also ask questions on DW/BI. Hope this helps
Which level?
They can tell when you are looking at another side...
Yes, I'd assume that they can, I wanted to know if that's okay if I disclose it beforehand
