Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
A friend is headed into an onsite for this role. Any interviewing advice or general experience/feedback about the position?
AMZN can be a dream killer for most. Average tenure is 2 years and the company just reinstated aggressive stack ranking with a 6% unregretted attrition target. Signing and relocation is fully repayable if you take it and choose to leave before the 2 years is up. AMZN uses several collections agencies to claw that back. Always. Base salary in non-premium markets is capped at $160k regardless of the level/role (SFO, NYC are only premium). People often wrongly assume the base is negotiable and it’s absolutely not. Zero. Zero. Zero chance of negotiation once you hit the cap. RSU vesting is loaded on the back-end; meaning your ‘grant’ is almost worthless until you hit the three year mark. With 2 years average tenure, the math is pretty simple. If your friend has other options s/he should seriously consider them.
Does she have other options?
Damn
Could you go in more detail please?
