Amazon Comp during 4th year

For those who joined in 2nd half of year, does 4th year comp always goes as bad as mine? My joining anniversary is in Oct, and 6months stocks get bested in Apr & Oct. So, these are counted as the comp for ongoing year from Apr-Mar of next year. It feels like Oct this year to Mar next year is not compensated as stock grant is for year gone by; while the comp is computed for Apr-Mar. Does everyone lose like this? #Amazon #cliff
