Hello everyone, I have a Data engineer technical interview at amazon in a few days and would be tested on sql and python. Looking for any suggestions on best ways to prepare for this interview. Thanks!
Is it onsite or telephonic?
Its Telephonic
Telephonic would be mostly sql window functions and some project experience and LP
I was asked 1) SQL basics - 2 to 3 questions 2) Data modeling 3) How would read a file using Python 30 mins
How would you read a file using python? I would use pandas but is that not the way?
That is one and there are few others
I just went through an L5 data engineer tech phone interview. They asked me 2 SQL questions that needed some ranking window functions and sub-selects, and then two coding questions that involved reading a csv file and doing some simple aggregations. The default language was python but they said it’s fine if I wanted to use another language so I used Scala. No LP questions for me.
Can gou post solution? For the python part did you use pandas to read the csv?
Yoe?
good stuff. thanks for sharing! I've got an upcoming Amazon DE interview as well.
All the best ☺️
Hey, can you please share your 1st technical and 2nd loop interview details?
If you have an interview in a few days and you still haven’t figured out the best ways to prepare, it’s better to postpone.
