I kind of doubt that there are any L8 non-tech positions in Vancouver, but maybe they create one for you. I know from a bunch of L6 SDMs that it's damn hard to move up to L7 in Vancouver due to the lack of L8 supervision... maybe you may help them. If we assume 550k USD TC in Seattle for non-tech L8, I would use the default calculation of converting the USD figure into CAD and multiplying with 0.7, which would amount to 385k CAD TC approx.

The actual Vancouver discount after tax is about 50% when compared to Seattle, as you need to consider the USD->C$ exchange rate as well. I'm deriving this from the usual TC differences in L4/5 SDE and L6 SDM compensation. I'm aware that higher level TC consists of more USDs due to the stock appreciation, but still think there is a clear pattern.
