Amazon Equity Policy

It will grant you “a number” of RSUs in your offer but not equity. The number obviously translates to actual value but is a rolling average of previous 30 days when it is assigned to your offer. That number remains constant after you accept the offer and when you join you get that number. Stock price at that point is purely luck coz it could go down or up but you are assigned a number of RSUs rather than 100K worth of RSUs. When I joined I was worried that the number translated to a higher value when they made the offer and in 3 weeks the value went down..tried to renegotiate but didn’t work..I joined anyways and then an year later the stock went up by 60%...so all luck I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️

Hey OP did you find out how is the grant price determined? I got an offer and number of shares is fixed now, but I’m pushing back my joining date for quite a while so wondering how would the cost basis be calculated when vesting.
