How is the WLB in the Amazon Finance teams? Got a call about a senior finance analyst position and really thinking about pursuing this.
@pipfactory why do you feel the need to be a complete dbag and provide a completely shitty response.
Do not work for Amazon finance. The WLB is awful and if you slip up you get PiP.
I’m just trying to find a good fit with WLB and good comp (aren’t we all). But I just don’t want to be in a position where I don’t know how late I’ll work anymore…any other places/ideas? Have 4 YOE at Big 4 audit and consulting
Stay away from consulting and audit for one. Can I recommend government work?
It all depends on what team.
Depends on team but expect any role worth pursuing to be a lot of hours if you want to learn and get promoted. You’re from big 4 so it shouldn’t be as bad as what you’re used to
Avoid this place. Long hours, treat you like crap and A LOT OF doc writing.

Quitting this Slave life
Don’t worry about it, you won’t get far in the process anyways; we don’t like consulting backgrounds.
I think to clarify, we don't like folks with consulting backgrounds that cannot execute. It is misleading to paint a broad stroke on all consulting backgrounds. I'm a 6.5 with a background in consulting but I remember having to really elaborate on tangible analysis skills in my loops. I think people who just talk the talk and can't walk the walk are the types we don't like. I've seen folks like that get PIPed fast.
