Amazon Finance L5 Pay Raise
As an L5 finance analyst at Amazon is there a chance for a pay raise (base increase) after 1 year of working at the company even without a promotion? The contract said i was not eligible for additional RSUs until after 2 years. How long would it take to advance from finance L5 to L6? #amazon #amazonfinance #L5 #payraise

3 years is average for promotion for most families. Ops is the odd one out, people get promoted within a year from 5-6 based on tenure (yes, unfair blabla but TC is shit). Get TT rated and you will get 5-10%, otherwise you’ll get 2%.
What's your TC? If you are high in the band forget about getting anything for a couple of years without a promo
How does refreshers look at Amazon for new joinee?
Just kill it in your role and you can get promoted within 2 years. Be proactive about getting promoted in conversations with your manager and skip level and if they’re good, you’ll be supported. If they’re not, doesn’t hurt to rotate. Good manager will make all the difference
Raise completely depends where you are come evaluation time as the percentage depends on that, as well as where you should sit for target compensation. Of note, the stock value increase is putting a dent in comp increases as the system already sees you exceeding the planned target
TC?
Finance is slow to promote especially into L6..RSUs eligibility after 2 yrs but base increase eligibility after 1 year. Keep in mind it will usually be 2% or less
