We have 8 months left. They’re going to crash the economy once Trump is back.
Amazon Fulfillment Technology is hiring more Indian Engineers from Indian with L1 than US citizens. About 1/10 of us are US citizens or international students. A lot of Software Engineers are from Indian with the Indian managers with L1 visa directly. Can we hire more US citizens and international students who studies in US instead? The pressure is high and they PIP engineers. I am suggesting females not coming since this is destroying me. #software #amazon
Amazon, in general, is know for terrible work life balance. Nothing new here. It's very well documented on blind. I do understand some colleagues may work way longer hours, but try to set your work hours and stick to it.
What else you expect? First of all the intra company manager transfer has to stop. That’s a complete hack of immigration system I.e L1A visa. It was meant for executives but these morons use it for managerial purpose. Managers nothing but they would have joined amazon straight out of college and opted to become managers, hail amazon LP and torture others. I am sorry that my country men are like this.
If you don't like your company and your team you can look for outside opportunities or switch teams. If an engineer on L1 doesn't like his team he can't apply to any other companies and even team switch might cause issues when they try to renew L1. As a manager who doesn't care about his teams well being at all (like almost all Amazon managers) which one would you pick?
