Could someone please share 2017 offer ranges for Amazon and Microsoft for SDE. Was wondering how it has changed over years.
Amazon's new grad is 103k base, 10k relocation, 52k signing (over 2 years), 65k RSUs (5/15/40/40 schedule) for Seattle and other locations. More for "premium" locations like SF and NY
How do you know? You work at Cisco, did you have an offer
I interned at Cisco. Just did final round at Amazon and know a lot of people accepting full-time roles or return offers. The package is standard for them.
Generic Microsoft offer for bachelors grad in Seattle is 108k base, 75k stock over 3.5 years, and 25k bonus. Also 5k relocation
Do you know you know the vesting schedule on the stock?
First 25% after 6 months, then 25% each year after that
Should also be clear Microsoft gives 0-20% with 10% target bonus and amazon doesn’t give a year end bonus. So that’s like another 10-15k
I just got an offer for lvl59 with 3yr industry experience (including 2+yr contractor at ms): 110k base 20k signing 30k stock All three numbers are after negotiation.
Reject
Do you folks think Amazon is cooler than Microsoft?
As someone interviewing with both and choosing, I personally enjoy what Amazon is working on more but think they're equivalent in terms of reputation.
One of my friend got Microsoft new grad offer for Redmond - 115k base 20k sign on 35k RSU for 4 years
Man new hire offers in the PNW are really rising.
MS degree got 108,000 50k sign on and 100kRSUs over 4 years.
