Is it for a SDE 2 position?

Freshworks NoUse OP Dec 21, 2018

The HR wouldn't disclose that.

You are low bowlled as per sde 2 standard. I wouldn't recommend joining Amazon at this salary.

Microsoft gaebolg Dec 21, 2018

I would go with Microsoft. This is just me, but I wouldn't choose Amzn over Msft unless the difference in pay is >=30%. Plus Hyderabad is a much bigger tech hotspot

Microsoft qOee47 Dec 21, 2018

Msft hyd..

Amazon Pappupandi Dec 21, 2018

Been in msft and amazon, I would say amzn over msft if both were in hyderabad. Chennai will be hell unless you are Tamil. So msft.

MSFT. Chennai is horrible in summer.

Join Amazon and then change team and come to Hyderabad or Bangalore....in few months...changing teams is very easy .

Having been at both places, Amazon has better internal tools and engineering standards but horrible work live balance. You don't see many people staying over a year. Also the hikes, growth and stock refreshers are a joke. Microsoft has a much better work life balance, treats employees like humans, has a great campus, and people stay longer and are generally happy here. I would whole heartedly recommend Microsoft. People who are saying Amazon should at least provide some pointers
