Steps to increase your TC by 50% to 100% 1. Quit amazon as an eligible re-hire 2. Have good connection with your manager at amazon and ask them not to backfill your position in the next 3 to 4 months 3. Re apply to the position you left within 3 to 4 months and if possible you can ask your Amazon manager to change the job family of the requisition to something close to your previous job family but pays much higher 4. If it’s a new family your hiring manager can setup a small loop just for the records with your old teammates.( 😉 ) 5. Voila now you rejoin amazon either in your old job family or a new job family with top of the band offer without any proper interview loop 6. Fresh 4 years offer with first 2 years full cash payment. Mind blowing sign on bonus for 2 years. Don’t struggle getting Top tier performance rating every year. Just do the above for quickly penetrating your compensation band. Thanks to amazon boomerang policy. Feel bad for myself and other existing employees who are struggling hard to get good ratings year over year. Even if they do they don’t get a good compensation increase I have seen people increase their comps from 290k to 650k within 4 months. Note: it’s not me who did it. TC: 450K

I don’t understand how existing employers with TT rating aren’t getting top of the band — isn’t that how the band penetration works?
You need back to back TTs for 2 years or more for full penetration in the band
True, otherwise just one TT is 80%. Did you do this yourself? I joined AWS recently and I was AMAZED at how low some of my coworkers were paid. I found out they were rated LE though lol

Unless you are sleeping with your manager, I don't see how this can be considered "easy".
If your manager doesn’t need you for 2-3 months, they don’t need you. Congrats, you’ve made yourself redundant. This isn’t a guide on how to double TC, it’s on how to eliminate your TC.
This is why orgs like Meta are adjusting their boomerang policy.
