Just received offer from the recruiter for Amazon India. TC 54L Base 35L Joining Bonus 16L + 11L RSUs 18 YOE 8+ Offer doesn’t mention if it’s L5 but that’s how the conversations started earlier. Not worth it to join Amazon for a 5L increase in TC.
Amazon stopped paying the big salary for last couple of years as stock appreciated a lot . I guess for L5 that’s a good salary
There's Apple tech office in India ? Never knew that. Seems like a good L5 offer. L6 offers at WalmartLabs hovers around 80L - 1cr. Thinking same range for Amazon L6
Yes Apple has tech offices in India. However, I don’t have a tech background - I’m a Chartered Accountant. Even with negotiation, won’t be a very good jump for me.

This is pretty much high end of the band for L5. I don’t think L6 would be possible for you with your experience. Besides levelling would have been decided before they made your offer and won’t be open to negotiate on that.

That's high L5 offer. Base is max possible. JB can go higher maybe 20-22 Also note that first year TC is not 54 as due to 5% year 1 vest, fractional stock goes to year 2. Also you can't push for L6 at Amazon after interviews once they have determined you are fit for L5. If you interviewed for L5 loop, you will have to reinterview again for L6.
Got it, thanks. Though I don’t quite follow on first year TC as I’d expect 5% shares to vest at the end of first year. More so, I was hoping to get substantially more RSUs considering my current TC.
You can’t split stock. Fraction of a unit might roll over.
