Amazon India SDET salary
I am considering a move from US to India internally, but not sure how to find salary structure and pay range in India before officially applying in the system. I am looking for L5 and L6 SDET salary info for India. TIA Current TC: ~290k USD (L5 SDET. Started promo process for Q2 but transfer request may change that and hence asking details for both L5 and L6.) base 210k, RSU 80k(before the dip). #tech #amazon #sdet #indiasalary
I doubt you will get more than 60K USD TC
saw amazon L5 offer around 65LPA, but might just be a pandemic thing
Unrelated, but how much are you able to save out of 290k?
on a higher level have 1 kid, 2 years old, goes to montessori.. spouse not working. currently on rent (~$2300). with that can save up to 70-80k USD after taxes. the move is due to family and health reasons, not financial. I know the INR numbers might be too low but still wanted to understand numbers before I officially apply so that its not a complete shock.
Thanks for detailed answer OP, asked because I'm considering the reverse move, also plan to come back around your life stage. Coming to TC, L5 at Amazon is around 50-70lpa depending on market, competing offers etc, not sure if SDET would affect things. If planning to stay with Amazon, I'd suggest wait till your promo before moving, so you can keep the US stock grant, would be a significant boost to your TC for next 4 years

It all depends on your skillset. There are quite a few companies pay high for SDETs as well. Refer blind india for salary details. You can search for testing in the search bar and sort based on salary
