Im really interested in quant finance, but haven’t heard amazing things about SWE at SIG. New grad comp seems to be better at Amazon but not too sure about all the layoffs. Would SIG help with getting more software focused HFT interviews in the future?(JS, HRT, 2sig, etc.)
Look into Capital One quant roles +just steer clear of Commercial Bank)
Yeah, SIG will definitely help in getting interviews almost everywhere in the industry

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
You’re interested in $$ not quant finance. Yes it will help
I suppose money is a big factor, but I think I would genuinely enjoy working on a fast development cycle and doing “stuff” rather than writing super polished and weeks long tested production code. That’s just my perception of the industry please lmk if you have a different experience.
Idk it’s not usually a great work environment but there are exceptions (the top few maybe JS/HRT mainly). Code not great. Problems are pretty dull if you care about tech. Poor wlb. But very smart people and good pay. So yeah good luck. SIG is generally pretty good
