Offer: Base - $150k Sign on bonus yr1 = 37k Sign on bonus yr2 = 34k RSUs = 68 units Location - Seattle Yoe - 7yrs (3yrs as PM) Is this a good offer? What can be deemed as a good offer? #pm #productmanager
It will be vested over 4yrs (5, 15, 40 n 40%)
I misread. I thought 68k vs 68 units
Any annual bonus? How many yoe?
Yep, the 37k and 34k in yr1 n yr2 respectively r pro_-rated bonus throughout the year.. I have 7 yrs of exp with 3yrs as a PM
Is one RSU one share? That's a huge stock grant compared to what my company offers; it's one reason I applied to Amazon.
Yep, 1 rsu is one share. Same here but I have a competing offer where my tc is 215k. I'm wondering what would be a good number to ask for.
You may need to negotiate. I know Level 4 SDEs with nearly similar TCs at Amazon. Also, is this a tech position? If yes, then you have been surely lowballed
Thanks for sharing! The position is non-tech Sr. PM but I do feel I have been lowballed. What would be a good number to hit?
Don't comp to SDEs, it's just not equivalent at all. Non-tech PM out of MBA are probably $160K - $190K if I had to guess (top MBAs aren't usually getting $200K+ one year out unless they have significant experience and/or in HF/PE stuff). A lot of comps you see on this site are people talking their post-stock appreciation TC, which doesn't reflect the intended HR TC for 1st yr. If you want to estimate out year TC, use 15% annual appreciation.
Ask for 240k TC
Thanks!
It's definitely a lowball for industry hires. May be a good Tc for freshly graduated MBA L6 PdMs.
Then please suggest how much should the offer be? Keep in mind it’s non tech.
That base is high for a fresh MBA (PM, not PMT), but TC is about right to slightly elevated. You could try to get more, but i'd say $215k is a more realistic target vs. $240K.
Are these year 1 RSUs?
