Hi Blind community. looking for opinions re: offer eval. PMT, Seattle. base: 159K signon: 196K, split between year 1, 2 RSUs: 71 Rough TC for year 1: 283K YOE: 12 is this a good offer? have folks seen higher than this, in recent times?
I got $300k two years ago despite $280 being their ‘max’. Later I heard people got up to $360-370 range for PMT-ES.
Good. Full range for PMT is 210-290k but only top 5-10% (I forgot the exact %) get 290k. 80% are in 210-230k range. PMT-ES are in AWS and have higher end 210-350k. Otherwise people making 300k+ now with PMT title are because their RSUs were assigned years ago and now lift up their TCs
Is your entire career PM?
Super good offer
Thank you folks. Most of my career is in PM, barring the first couple of years
man I’ve really lost perspective of things having gotten $1M+ in annual comp for a couple of years now
Lower end offer for 12 yoe especially considering the stock appreciation. I’d say the median is ~ $325k If you are not in a hurry hold on from making a decision
What was the stock price assumed for the 71 RSUs? Pushing the bonus up by $100K would make it worthwhile. My friend who just got an L6 PMT was able to negotiate a higher bonus and a few extra RSUs. A lot depends on the org as well. AWS I've heard is more flexible. Devices I've heard is a little rigid. Which org are you joining?
What’s PMT? Is this a non technical role?
Product Manager - Technical
It’s non tech. You don’t actually write codes
