Amazon Lab 126 (Bellvue) vs. Apple (Cupertino) for HW Eng
Wanted to get people's thoughts on total comp and work environment between Lab 126 and Apple HW. I got an offer for $180k TC with Lab 126 L5 and waiting for numbers with Apple. What has higher rep for HW? What TC can I expect for Apple for L5 equivalent? I have ~3 years of experience with a master's

Run from both. Kidding. You can’t go wrong either way. Think about weather first and second which one you like more. Money comes and goes but you spend most of you life at work so you better enjoy it

Apple HW is way better, AWS on the other hands let you swim or sink so you learn fast. If I were you I would work for Apple and buy Amazon options to hedge the growth.
Isnt the TC less for L5 ? Is amazon pay different from Lab126 pay?
I know HW is less than SW and also this position is in Bellevue...what do you think is a decent range for L5?
I have mainly seen SDE TCs with similar experience and they are almost at 200-220k$ TC with 3 yoe. Not sure about hardware. It is also worth noting that they gave you a L5 and not a L4! What is the position called?
