So what is the real story on Amazon, my focus is on the SF Bay Area, mainly Lab126 in Sunnyvale since I’m seeing many recent hires here at Google who are ex-Amazon Lab126 engineers. Tenure here is much longer but I do see people leave within a year or two. Is it because there are lots of options or is it the Amazon cliff? Is it really a bad place to work, perf process, hard to move up bad WLB or ?
I’s stay away from lab 126, very arrogant people while technically have nothing to say
Very bad technical talent, people speak up a lot, no one knows how to solve anything. The worst place I have ever worked at.
HW side is great, not sure about SW.
I’m just surprised by the turnover, but I see it in Google as well. Several ppl walked away from their unvested GSUs.
Bullshit org… old shit people and low bar
Amazon Bay Area has the worst teams in all of Amazon
