Have highlighted this before about a lot of undeserved people still staying at these places while few(not all) brilliant people, young & old, getting fired in current market. Here is another recent example Original post by a good teacher from @Meta and the copy post by a Amazon Sr Manager (ex Microsoft Principal DS Manager below). What set me off was the other person did not take any effort to remove at least the " The forecasting course that Tim & I teach" or give credit to the original poster(it's not difficult like before to catch these copy paste folks). Astounding. I checked and found the original course taught by Jan & Tim but how shallow is a SR or Principal DS Manager at these companies to not even express their own thoughts. Seeing these people survive layoffs at Big tech & Walmart makes me more uncertain about decision making for upcoming recessions. Knowledge, not stories or politics should be Paramount(and it does not need to be Leetcode folks but people who know their stuff). Also, this does not highlight just Indian folks, since I have seen brilliant Indian ICs even in their 50s or Directors filled with original curiosity to learn & contribute. But few of the Indians in MS, AmZ, Walmart & others are making life difficult for talented Indian folks who have the knowledge to drive the next stage. To those like this, you have made your millions, get out of the way for fucks sake(you will find tons of things you can contribute to in society instead of focusing on making another million) since such market calls for people like you to resign or be laid off, not the curios and original minds(disregard their age or experience). @Amazon, @Meta, @Microsoft, @Tech
Unfortunately people sitting in decision making seat themselves do not have ability to judge what you are asking. Crafted Stories can make a dumb person sound better than a knowledgeable one unless the person judging is himself knowledgeable
Totally seeing that at Walmart. Hire ups have no clue and brilliant folks are now just starting to get lazy to avoid conflict with the outspoken/work showing limited knowledge folks. Dangerous since these are science positions and hampers lot of good work here. Anonymous or sometimes 1on 1 protests to higher ups might make a dent but it needs to be led by knowledgeable folks, who typically avoid conflicts
Tldr?
Just check the 2 images and tell me which one is plagiarism.
Must have been a mistake.. how can the 2nd poster have link to join the course where he is not an instructor. It doesn't look intentional imo
While I agree with the quality at Walmart, the guy you mentioned seems to posted by mistake - probably reshared post
Hard to believe a seasoned SM doesn't know how to repost or even edit after realizing the mistake. This trend is very where senior folks are just copy pasting content from others without due diligence. Speaks highly about the current process if firing where lazy seniors & directors are just surviving sucking up. Even if I feel for few, I do not for the ones who have earned like shit over the bull run and don't know that they should quit now.
Ain’t nobody got time to read that.
Nobody forced you kiddo
