Hey guys, I recently accepted an offer at AWS as a entry level cloud support engineer, start date is mid November and was just wondering if anyone else has recently gone through the onboarding stage so I can know what to expect, this is UK, signed a bunch of documents last week, background checks are complete. And signed the actual contract on Friday. Is there much left to do or is just a waiting game to start now? #amazon #aws

they say onboard on the fly in real projects. Be ready for the mental stress, I am in the same boat! Good Luck, may god give you strength
Is it really that bad?
I felt it that way.
One more wicket down
just chose my laptops and stuff, hope my team has good wlb 🤞🤞
good luck! I hope so too, how far off from starting was you before you got to choose the laptop

There’s no onboarding. Just throwing you into the river
Lol I got 2 weeks to onboard, GL
To share my onboarding journey DAY 1 laptop setup and manager introduction DAY 2 Project pipelines and expectations from me for next 1 year DAY 3 Staffed into very critical project having VP level escalations and asked to handle it independently with no one else in that project DAY 5 Scoping and estimations and milestone plan discussion with TPM . . . DAY 35: Struggled my ass off, least support from team, ruthless culture DAY 40: Awaiting MS offer
lol... sounds rough. Good luck with the MS offer, what role have you got?
