Does anyone know how much Amazon pays out for unused PTO days when you leave? I’ve searched for hours on the internal boards and have given up….
They don’t pay out.
PTO Vacation is paid. PTO Personal is not.
They legally have to pay them all out at your current base pay rate.
Don’t pay out lol.
Your base salary for accrued vacation hours only. Sick and PTO/floating holidays are not paid out.
Correct
Correct. It does vary by certain states though, but that’s the general policy.
In Seattle, They don’t pay anything for unused PTO. You get paid for unused vacation days and there is a max limit of accumulating 160 hours of vacation. This was increased to 240 hours during the pandemic. So that’s the max you get paid for. The rate is your base salary rate per day multiplied by the number of days. If the max is 240 hours or 20 days and your rate is 100$, then you would get 24000$ pre tax
Did they lower this back down? I’m capped at 160 and have never been able to exceed 160. Pandemic hire.
I think it was always 160 when I was there too. I had heard they increased it to 240 during the pandemic. My own payout was 160
It's state based. Look up your states PTO laws. My state had to pay out everything. Otherwise you'll only get vacation time
$0 Burn your PTO before your last day. Use it or lose it.
Zero unless your state law requires it.
Depends on the state. - full payout usually for vacation days. For Personal days, I.e sick days, it’s none. Rollover is also zero there.
Your base salary per day?
So there’s no cap? Know some companies will only pay 200 a day.
The only thing that caps it is the max vacation hours accrual.
