Hi all, I was interviewed by HM which was the first interview step for the position of senior partner development rep role at AWS. The interview went well and even received positive feedback from HM during the interview and at the end of the interview he even mentioned "well great you have what exactly I am looking for" and next day I got the rejection without any explanation of course. What I remember I did very well during the interview and hm asked at the very last second before closing if I do speak Arabic which he said he is particularly looking for. Well I don't since he can see it on my CV plus Arabic was not a requirement but just an option. I am totally confused, so does anybody has any ideas? #sales #awsinterview

Hmmm... did the role require Arabic as a skill? Was the interviewer Middle Eastern? Did the team have to speak Arabic?
In preferred qualifications, they initiated fluency in Arabic and/or Russian. Fluency in any other European languages. And I do speak 2 other European languages besides English. HM was Spanish. No the team takes care of whole EMEAR region but mostly North African as it seems
There you go. They identified a need for an Arabic speaker and you didn’t have that unfortunately.
