Hi, Been 15+ years in my current company; I make around $550K before taxes. AWS recruiter approached me for a Principal Engineer (first level) position. Leaving aside the excitement from the new work, I am wondering if there can be any salary upside. I was told that the interview process is grueling and hence was wondering if all of it would be for nothing. Thanks in advance for the insights. Regards.
Are you L67?
Wont be much upside from 550k. They might push it to 600k which is about max for L7
550K? Come ooon, MSFT can hire 5 of us. We've got those 15+ too.. https://www.teamblind.com/article/Reason-for-Failing-Teams-xXdYtAkM
Not sure what to say my friend:( Why don’t you give Microsoft a shot?
Op, did you find any more information?
Anymore insights please?
Op, did you go through the interviews? I am in same boat, so trying to figure out if it’s worth going through the process.
What’s the 550k break down? Consider interviewing for the sake of knowing what people ask and want nowadays. A lot has changed in 15+ years
