Amazon Principal Product Manager

Does anyone have an idea what TC breakdown is for Amazon Principal Product Manager in Seattle? Any tips on WLB and culture will be appreciated as well. The role is within  Multi-Channel Fulfillment program (MCF) #productmanager #pm #Amazon

Define WLB for you. At Amazon, especially at higher levels, it is bad. Long hours and lots of stress. As a principal PM, you will be writing shit loads of documents for leadership reviews meaning lots and lots of churn. And hence the stress. Is this PM-T or non tech PM?

Listing says "Project/Program/Product Management--Non-Tech" so my guess is this is Non-Tech WLB: I don't mind working extra hours when needed. As long as there is occasional downtime and not 365 chaos

Amazon culture isn’t 365 chaos, but what might be considered pushed and high intensity at other companies is Amazon’s default gear. The “extra hours when needed” tend to mean all-nighters or 14 hour days for a week straight while you get ready for leadership reviews. It is manageable and some thrive in it. But be ready for a high intensity environment. Having said that, Amazon is gigantic and you can find all sorts of peculiar pockets/teams so your mileage may vary. Last year the non-tech principal range started around 260 and probably went to 360ish. Both figures are probably a bit higher by now.

Do tech PMs have better TC or WLB?
