I was curious how technical do these non-tech/project management PM-1 final Interviews get? Im brushing up on SQL windows and CTEs Im in the final round for a position where Ive only had one other interview with a team member about the LPs, she asked no tech questions. She herself used to be an ops manager She was nice, i like the team and would love to grow with the team. The position however does say that it requires Analytics with SQL,SAS,PYTHON,R, Statistical Analysis. Im confused as to where to put my effort, sql or practice LP stories #pm #product #productmanager #programmanager
First if you have any experience shoot for L5. New grads come in at L5 and mbas come in at L6. Also, most program managers do not focus on coding. Put all effort into LPs specifically around bias for action, deep dive, and earn trust. When you deep dive you can show off your coding and analytics background. But to be successful you must earn trust with your stakeholders.
Thank you, i suck at SQL although i understand it. Not a good coder. ive been torn between coming off as an idiot and preparing for that for the interview or just focusing on LPs
Nah focus on lps and focus on good examples. Write out you lps and stories on paper, and read them several times back.
