I got a message from amazon (I'm not at oracle anymore, I'm working for aws ) by email today saying I'm not allowed to sell RSU. does that includes vested rsu?
Lol...
If the RSUs have vested in your Morgan Stanley account, can you transfer them to Charles Schwarb or similar (for free)? Does Amazon place any limitations on ‘selling’ the vested RSUs once they are vested?
As a rule you are an insider and you shouldn’t sell during the closed period
I mean after the stock vests :)
Ah? It obviously includes vested rsus... What else could it refer to? You cant trade your unvested rsus The limitation is not placed on you by amazon - they are doing you a service by establishing clear trading windows. Your issue is with insider trading that can get you fined and place you in jail. If you want, there is nothing tech bbn locally stopping you from trading outside the window (except of breaking the law and jail and such)
This is my new favorite blind post
Best post of the month.
1. You can't sell your unvested RSUs 2. Google up full form of RSUs and then hopefully you will understand why Amazon have put such restriction on employees holding vested RSUs. #facepalm why Amazon is hiring such employees
Copy and paste the text here and we will help you figure it out 😊
That was just the standard trading window notification. Check the details see if you're considered an insider
