So a recruiter reached out on linkedin, explained about the role, sent the spec, etc. When they asked me if I had applied to amazon before I replied yes, last week I actually applied to a new role they posted ( not the role in question ), and then dead silence from the recruiter. Does this make sense? Is there a reason why that might exclude me? Do agencies have access to the amazon portal and therefore to see/dislike my CV?
Last amazon recruiter from an agency said they only get credit for applicants that hadn’t applied in the prior year. Not sure if that’s standard, but that’s what was explained.
Incredibly helpful, thank you! Strange though, when I queried they could have simply told me that, is understandable.
Don’t think that means anything with regards to your chances at getting a job. Just that the agency recruiter doesn’t get paid, so not going to waste time. Still unprofessional to ghost someone. Super easy to explain that they only work with people who haven’t applied.
