Amazon Recruiter

#amazon So I failed amazon onsite couple of months ago but today another recruiter reached out to me through LinkedIn. What happens from here? Do I inform her about the past event or simply go with different email or something?

They will know eventually......even if you don’t tell .....it won’t move forward

Yes cisco is right. They don't check when contact you on LinkedIn. They will do a check when they want move your application forward

Is it only for onsite? What if i failed a telephonic interview two months ago?

Telephonic interviews doesn’t matter. There is no cool off period for that

Just let them know & move on. At some point in the process the recruiter will find out & it’s better to be upfront about it. We’ve made some system changes at Amazon to try to integrate LinkedIn a lil better with our systems, but a lotta times recruiters simply don’t do the research or it’s literally unsearchable - so it’s most likely the recruiter who reached out just didn’t find info about you beforehand. The standard “rule” (unless otherwise specified) at Amazon is that you cannot interview for the same role & level for 1 year (on-site/final round) or 6 months (phone interview), across all of Amazon. There are exceptions & you can just ask if your case falls under that category.
