I interviewed with Amazon onsite in Seattle on Dec 2nd. The recruiter did not even bother to let me know if its a Y or N within 5 business days even after couple follow ups. After few more follow ups and 8 business days later (Dec 12th), HR said “Yes- team liked you. But I will be needing some time to extend the offer letter” Its Dec 21st now and still havent heard back with an offer letter. what do I do? I really the like the role and not actively interviewing with other companies.
This is most probably due to the year end. It can't be an excuse for such behavior but it might be a reason. If you are getting stocks that require to be approved by VP. This might add some delays. You can drop a mail or call the recruiter to check in. You should continue interviewing with others. If you get some offer outside it will be easier for you to negotiate. In my case Amazon took 20 days to roll out offer. Best of luck.
I haven’t even received an initial offer letter yet. I would like to believe that there’s RSU’s involved. But this is so sloppy of HR.
Yes surely. In my case they took 20 days to roll out the offer. HR sleeps in Amazon a lot.
Sucks, I got an offer within 30 minutes of the last interview
2nd to 10th isn’t 8 business days 😒
Sorry, I meant 12th
@Blindly: After my onsite interviews, the HR said, I will let you know the next day. I’ll send you a text.🙄 They seemed pretty desperate to hire me. I believe the posting was open for like 3-5 months and because they did not find anyone with the skills that I have/needed for the job. Why still behave so? :/
Understand the frustration, but it’s literally in the midst of the holidays. People are on vacation. Chill. You probably won’t hear anything until the first week of January when folks return.
You said it. ‘Entitled’
I interviewed on Dec 18 and got a reply on Dec 20. So if you did good the recruiter would definitely reach out to youz
Dang!
Same story. I interviewed on November 14th. They did not get back within 5 business days. I called them the next day and they said the team liked me and they'll get back with an offer soon. They ghosted me for 20 days and finally sent an offer on December 10th. Not a pleasant experience.
Similar. I was supposed to have onsite in January but the position got filled and I was referred to a new recruiter who hasn’t messaged me in 2 weeks. I’ll wait until January
Good Luck!

Shame shame shame
Shame for volunteering to log on, get the profile, see where the hold up is, provide the appropriate escalations, and help expedite the offer? Yeah super shameful. Others on this app know I've helped them out. I dont get a commission to low ball offer so I try to make sure incoming employees arent shafted and are happy with a fair offer.
