My wife received email from Amazon recruiter for Amazon Returnship program to schedule 1 hr interview. She has 4 years gap in career and wants to join back. It is for QA internship. Can someone who went through this interview process provide some insights? Are LPs important for Returnship as well? We have sent email to recruiter but not heard back yet.

Any Indians Think Kashmir Should be Independent?
Bar is... Relatively lower than normal industrial hire. Probably one phone screen (maybe Tech + LP half and half) + 2 onsite (half Tech half LP) As long as LP is there and Tech is kinda there, offer will be extended While this is to fill a big hole in hiring gap as well as boost diversity and PR, it is in fact a good opportunity for people to get back to work. My team recently hired a returnship SDE on and I believe we focused more on LP than tech (guidance says we should keep in mind that candidate has not worked for a while and coding skills might be rusty)
Thanks you so much for your detailed reply. I guess answers to LP questions from her 4 year old project will be acceptable. Does QA intern also get easy lc coding questions?
Not sure about QA loop, sorry Regarding LP, yes, use very old projects from previous work is expected and it is expected that the returner might not remember all the details. However, try to prepare as many examples as possible. Depends on who is doing the interview, you might get lucky. The one I interviewed said she needed to look at her notes for examples and I allowed it. I have a lot of sympathy for people in this situation and I really like this program. I believe the one joining my team could be successful over time but will need time to fit in which is totally acceptable
