Amazon SDE 2 vs Nvidia
I got an offer from Amazon for SDE 2 in Seattle. Base - 152k Signing bonus - 47k first yr, 36k second yr. RSUs - 65 units (136k) How is the offer for Seattle? I have 5 yoe. I also have the option to transfer internally at Nvidia to Seattle.
What’s the comp comparison with nvidia? I’d much rather work there, but you do you.
TC 195k at Nvidia. What are your reasons for Nvidia over Amazon?
I have recently moved from Amazon to Nvidia. Besides worse wlb, shitty comp structure, pip culture, poor facilities and sometimes nasty coworkers it’s a great place to work and make an impact. In fact I have seen people making an impact even when not working. But then, Amazon is a large place and experience could vary a lot. Statistically what I described is a significant percentage.
Amazon. Nvidia is a great company too but not as much upward potential and impact as amazon.
If you move to seattle most likely nv will reduce your tc by 5-10k if not more. So tc wise amazon will be be 40k better
