What do you do to not get PIP'd? - - 1-- Meet expectations? 2-- Do something extra that isn't on the planned objectives? 3-- There is nothing like "planned objectives" at amazon? 4-- none of the above If so, what?

Average guys will be PIP'd if they don't have good relationship with manager. Don't join as a loner, make sure you are popular in the team/org.
Managers get PIP’d quite frequently. No one is safe from being PIP’d for poor performance.
Any level can be PIP’d.
