Amazon SE2 pay scale
What's the average comp for SE2 like? I make about 170 now. Have an onsite coming up

Copy/paste from another post. Yoe doesn’t matter. You have already been pre-leveled as an SDE 1 or 2 — ask your recruiter which one, because you should know. My guess is you’re slotted for 2, which means a successful loop can land you an SDE 2 offer because the panel was calibrated for that. If you succeed at the interview, you will be leveled as SDE 2 if you’re measured as being in the top 50% of SDE 2s at Amazon (the “bar raiser” in your loop is trained for that). If you performed well but the BR ruled you appropriate for SDE 1, then your offer will be SDE 1. The pay bands differ between 1 and 2. But assume you get offered 2 but not identified as a super star (you won’t be), then a median Seattle SDE 2 offer will put you around 200K total comp. Base would be around 135K, and RSUs around 150K (earned over 4 years). Plus a sign on cash bonus around 35K for each of the first 2 years (to fill in for shitty RSU vesting schedule, Amazon’s biggest joke).
