Amazon Seattle SDE2 job offer negotiations. 3 years experience

Compensation: 145k base 59k first year bonus 44k second year bonus 80RSUs = 150k stocks over 4 years. Is this compensation good enough for an SDE2 hire with 3 years of total experience? I guess my real question is how much can I stretch them and increase the compensation? Thank you so much! :-)

Decent offer coming from Epic man.

That’s BS. Nothing to do with where you come from. Stop making such comments. If the candidate performed well in the interviews and has decent experience, nothing matters.

They might pay you more if you have a completing offer.

Wow . Is this standard or is this top of the band ? I have 2 YOE and still they lowballed me and gave me SDE 1.

Microsoft yKId44 Jul 17, 2018

It is definitely average or slightly above average

Amazon vriP37 Jul 17, 2018

Ive seen L5 SDE comp and this is actually slightly above avg. Most folks I know who are 200k TC is bc their RSU went up. Not bad for an L5 TC but never hurts to try to negotiate for a little more.

Good offer for L5, go for it! And congrats!
