Current Finance Manager with 11 years of experience. Applied for Finance Manager Roles in Nashville and Seattle with Amazon. Was downgraded to SFA for both locations during interviews. What type of compensation should i ask for?
The range is big 130-175 they’ll likely pitch you 150 if you get an offer. Hate that they sell everyone the decrease in title I was SFA before and was told our SFAs are amazing like FM or SFM elsewhere so we’ll offer you FA. Reality is most of the SFAs are pretty shitty and you’ll truly feel under leveled (if you aren’t also shitty). That said if it’s significant pay bump take it and leverage it to move on after 2 years when sign on runs out.
Hey, do you know the FA range. I am negotiating currently and they keep saying that $110 is max TC
That’s about right I hired an L5 FA about 18 months ago and they told me max I could offer him was 109k.
Amazon has deflated finance titles, I’d say SFA = manager at most places. FM = senior finance manager or even directors from places with clear inflated titles. Have seen VPs at some companies come in at L7 senior manager, finance. Focus on TC and scope of role, and swallow the painful title deflation
This is an L6 role.
Yea l6 in finance is sr financial analyst, 6.5 is manager and 7 is sr finance manager
@thepoor1 do you know what the pay band looks like for a Finance Manager, I guess L6.5 In nashville? Base? Year 1 sign on? Year 2 sign on? RSU? Annual performance bonus %?
