Currently considering a TPM role for Amazon Tax Systems / Tax Platform Systems and wanted to get a sense of the management. Would be coming from AWS. Tax platform services is a team where there is always work and high priority compliance projects. You dont get time to relax. One after the other you will always have projects lined up. Leadership is good, you will have the freedom to propose ideas and implement them. But WLB is bad. Talking about TPM’s, the expectations from a TPM in tax is very high compared to other teams at Amazon. You are expected to drive the technical discussions and at times you should be able to look at the code and understand it. Tax ecosystem is very huge. You will have lot of opportunity to learn but all this comes at the cost of your WLB
