Definitely prepare for the LP’s. These are more behavioral type questions. Feel free to DM me for more pointers on this.
Thanks, just DM’d you!
Google white boarding challenge on YouTube and check out https://designercize.com/ for practice!
Ask a ton of questions or say what questions/research you would ask about the customer before you start any solution on the whiteboard. Think out loud. It’s not so much a test of your design skills, but your poise and ability to work backwards from the customer.
I'm interviewing Amazon final round soon. Can I DM you a few questions regarding whiteboard challenge? Thank you!
There is a book about whiteboard challenges. Pretty basic, but it can help..
I was asked to design an app for a gym, with functionality for checking in, browsing classes, and registering for classes. maybe something else but idr, this was in September 2019
Ask your recruiter. They actually knew the prompt and LP that’s it’s measured of the whiteboard and how to prepare for it. I didn’t even draw one screen. The LP they were looking for Simplify and Think Big.
I make up whiteboarding prompts that are personalized to the candidates interest but also highlights specific skills needed for the team.
I’m a UX designer at google and I’ve made a video to talk about how to nail whiteboard interviews. Hope this helps: https://youtu.be/t2J4h21dFhk

Thanks guys. It will be my first white boarding experience for an interview, hence a bit nervous. Also, do you have any additional guidance for the virtual on site? - The recruiter told me to just focus on behavioral LPs. Does that mean they do not dive into questions like- what’s your fav product, latest trend, etc? - what kind of design questions to expect from the bar raiser panel? - how many projects did you choose for the portfolio presentation. I have two which I plan to showcase.
