I’m interested in learning about the visual search teams in Palo Alto. how large is the org- how many teams/ ml scientists vs eng, does it have too much politics, or is it isolated from Amazon politics culture due to it being a9? how is the promotion prospects for sde2 to sde3? finally, how is the wlb? tc 330 yoe 6

140-150 people, 20 scientists, 50 engineers Same as Amazon now, A9 is long gone. Physically isolated from other Amazon buildings though. Plenty of scope for SDE3 promo, but a high bar, at least recently.

Work is pretty chill. Overall org has good culture. Location is amazing (downtown PA).
