I have been contacted by Amazon HR almost on a weekly basis for the last 1year. I interviewed at Amazon last in Sept 2020, which made me ineligible to apply until Sept 2021. But I have noticed that even after Oct 2021, the recruiters contact me and talk to me for a couple of meetings, and then when the time comes to setup a initial call with Hiring manager (or online assessment), they ghost me. I tried pestering some of the recruiters none the less, and they would inform me that I have a lock on my profile. Anyone in the Amazon Recruitment team can help me what does a lock in the profile mean? And is there anyway I can get it to unlock? P.S: Before anyone talks about what shitty company Amazon is and I should be glad I didn't get selected, I just to have complete information so that I can fix something from my end. This is not a rant but a post seeking advice/help. I may have a different career goals than someone who is tired of working at Amazon. So, please be a little helpful. #amazon #recruiterbox #sde
Iv been in one loop where the result was "not inclined, do not recycle". The person had a really horrible attitude. They were argumentative, refused to acknowledge mistakes or take any hints. It's possible you didn't get along with one or more of your interviewers and have received a similar outcome?
I am not sure if I did this. From what I remember, I was cheerful throughout. Assuming that's the case, any way i can rectify this or get myself out of the loop?

It’s possible you’re flagged for 2 years instead of 1 Especially if you bombed the on-site loop
I actually did flunk my onsite interview. And as cliched as it might sound, I don't think I bombed the interview. For one, I pressed my recruiter at the time and she said there were no issues with Leadership principles; in fact they loved me for it. As for tech, I did answer all the questions. I don't want to sound arrogant who doesnt accept his mistakes, and trust me I have had bad interviews at Amazon pre-2020, but that Sept 2020 was not one of them. I can digest the fact that maybe they interviewed someone along with me who showed more confidence, but I won't say I bombed it.
