An Amazon Prime subscriber has a significant problem with the company’s implementation of ads on Prime Video and filed a class action lawsuit on Friday challenging the move. The plaintiff, who lives in California, leveled allegations of misleading advertising and consumer protection law breaches against Amazon in connection to its "unfair" change to ads on Prime Video. The court filing was published and earlier reported by The Hollywood Reporter. https://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/amazon-hit-lawsuit-over-prime-video-ad-fees.amp
I didn’t think about the fact that annual Prime members (the overwhelming majority) would’ve expected the ad free Prime Video to stay through the length of the subscription. I’m one of those affected people
Amazon is for real the only major tech company with good customer service. That’s why they’re so popular. Every other tech company has virtually nonexistent customer service.
Their live customer service is decent enough, but the headline is referring to corporate practices
KEK gonna lose lawsuit and pay Amazon legal bills. Amazon legal would have reviewed the decision to add Ads. It's been done before: ex twitch. Lawsuit is hopeless.
