Amazon to more than double its base pay cap to $350K: report https://seekingalpha.com/news/3796704-amazon-to-more-than-double-its-base-pay-cap-to-350k-report?source=copyToPasteboard Wow, is this true ? #amazon #amazonsalary
Just to add. Though the cap overall is being doubled, but each job and role will have a cap that will be less than or equal to this number quoted.
Is this a case of the joining bonus being re-allocated to base?
No not really. JB is something that's beneficial to new employees. This increase would help both thr employees old and new. Old employees who have reached the max cap had to only rely on new stock investing and appraisal were also only in new stock grants. Due to this people needed to sell off their shares every now and then.
It’s on our internal site
How to find it? Any key words?
What do you do when you learn of these things from Blind first?
Hope they do stock retention bonuses similar to what Apple is giving out.
True, old news already.
All aboard the PIPPIP express
It’s not a base salary increase for all, but increase in base salary CAP (maximum base)
So is it just the maximum cap? I thought it’s doubling its base salary for all
Haha No, but some people are celebrating as if so
This is just cap
It helps to actually read the article. “Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is significantly raising the base pay maximum salary for most employees, bumping the cap to $350,000, up from $160,000, according to Insider, citing internal documents. ***Additionally as part of the memo, new base pay ranges would be instituted for each job, with Amazon increasing compensation ranges for most jobs around the world**** with the memo noting that the increases "are much more considerable than we've done in the past."
Increasing ranges doesn’t mean increasing salaries!
Effective when?
This comp cycle start feb 9
Another nice strategy to make us scape goats. It’s like feeding a sheep before killing it. Wait for 2 more months and get peanuts. How much ever water could be there in ocean, but we can’t drink. This is just like that. Agree?
