Why announce it then?
Why is it a scam? If they increase the pay bands, your position in pay bands offset too. If I am in the middle of older (lesser bands), and if they move me to middle of newer (higher bands), than it means an increase. But we will know that in coming days
They literally said they're increasing salaries, but for some reason everyone is focusing on the base pay instead.
As we all know, Amazon is a TC target company. So this will only change the base:rsu:bonus ratio. TC target for each band might increase, but that is similar to yearly increase we’ve seen in the past. And if you are top L5+ band with 160k, you’ll see base adjustment at the cost of RSU refresh.
