The bigger question is will they return?
I can imagine a lot of them would provided how competitive the market is right now
They will but most of them will jump ship as soon as market turns around. Only fools will stay once you go through the layoffs.
It’s good that some companies are doing this but they just look like idiots, why even lay them off in the first place. Just so desperate to cut costs without any real direction.
To boost there stock price
Can someone confirm if the hiring freeze is (partially) lifted? I got approached by a recruiter for a Manager, Solution Architecture (Canada) position.
Well, all the more reason to take a risk and try a startup. Amazon will eventually be starved for talent once hiring ramps up, so having worked here is like a safety net at this point lol
This has to be PR lol. The guy just said that a lot of people laid off will be elgible for rehire lmao which is what my director told me when I got laid off from there. Obv if you were let go and your rating was above HV1 they'll be interested to potentiall rehire you since they know you were decent at your job. If you were TT and laid off you'll probably getting rehired easily when mass hiring reopens.
🤡
I got PIPed out of amazon so I’m ineligible for rehire, but I still have uncomfortable dreams where I end up working there again.
At lower TC ofcourse.
