Amazon first level QA Manager comp?
Just got news that I’ll be getting an offer for a first level QA manager at Lab 126 in Sunnyvale; any idea what sort of a compensation package to expect? Base+sign-on+RSU? The recruiter told me that the Sr.Manager has approved the “max package”. Thanks!
First level seems like a weird term. QAM-I is an unusual job and would be L4, I’ve never seen it but assume it exists. QAM-II at L5 is still not terribly common, but I’ve seen someone move from QAE-II to that role. QAM-III/L6 is normally where someone managing a decent size team that includes QAEs and SDETs of various levels would land. These would have dramatically different comp scale. Also, it’s not “max” if a Sr manager can approve it. It may be top of the standard band, but exceptional cases can get above-band offers via VP approval.
