Amazon focus

I am in focus now, my manager told me that transferring teams needs VP approval, and we will re-evaluate in 2 June to see the next step. My performance rating for the past year is meet expectation, got the merit increase for the compensation review this year. I have been at amazon for 4 years now, level 5. It was funny that 2-3 weeks ago when we were having the performance/compensation review we were talking about promotions, and the gap for me with my next level. Now the gaps with my next level becomes the supporting points for putting me in focus. I am not sure if this is a set up for me to meet their pip quota and this focus plan is built for me to fail, or should i work very hard to get out from it. Does anyone have recommendation? If you know any analytics/data science opening, can you help to refer me? TC:200k
