I got a negative feedback over a quip from my manager recently. I asked him if I am in focus and he said no but I am not sure. He mentioned that it’s a step before that. If I apply for an internal job and if I am on focus will this still email my manager saying I applied for another job considering I am not able to complete the apply action on my end because of focus? #amazon #focus
I’m sorry that I can’t help you, but I have a related question: when working at other companies, usually if I don’t talk to my mgr before trying to move to another team, my manager usually is gonna get mad at me, and most probably without his “go ahead” I won’t be able to move. How’s that on Amazon?
It's the same thing here too. Current manager and new manager will have a sync on the candidate's performance before allowing for a transfer.
Thank you

Yes. If you apply for a job internally, your manager will be notified via email.
You cannot change teams when on Focus.
How much time does it take for a manager at Amazon to put his reportee on Focus Tool? Is it a simple, one click process? Or it has many steps? Assuming that the manager has good reputation with Director/VP, can he do this task in 5 mins?
Hi, I'm a new employee for Amazon and usually how long can my mgr put a new hire to focus/dev? (The first task he gave a hard deadline, I felt it's a bad sign )
DM me. I can help.
