Hi All This is my second year but 1st year at current team, i got the forte results recently this is the result i got it recently "Needs Improvement Your performance this year fell below Amazon’s high performance bar for your role and level. Improvement is needed for you to meet expectations in delivering for your customers" , honestly, this is the second time i am getting the same performance report again. How will it impact it in the future? I am really worried that I would be pipped? what should i do to grow further? can i revalidate with my manager again? can i switch to different team? could you please tell me? Location: seattle Job Family: supply chain Please suggest me how should I converse with him , my manager gave a feedback like there is no improvement after June 2022 feedback but I have constancly worked on and finished all the tasks . Last year also I didn’t get any pay rise , I really don’t know I will get pay rise this year #amazon
IMHO, you will for sure be put in a development plan/Focus and will be a prime target for URA quota.
Unfortunately you are/will be in focus. You may or may not get to more formal PIP, but all your communications will be tracked by your manager and you will see more micro managing in next few weeks. You cannot change teams also.
If your manager can't give you concrete feedback then they're fooling you. Expect the worst. Interview for backups.
Zero chance of pay raise except maybe inflation adjustment to your base. You have to work really hard to understand how Amazon works. First - get a mentor. Get two mentors. Someone who is in your field but has been with Amazon for more than 4 years and has grown. Second - sharply focus on your growth opportunities in Forte. Read them very carefully. From your writing it seems like English may be your second language. So share this feedback with your mentors and ask them how to improve. Third - this is a very hard one. You will need to improve your writing and/or English. Unfortunately Amazon has a very high bar on writing (Not ideal for folks who have dyslexia) and uphill battle for non-English speaking individuals. This is not a problem if you’re an SDE. If you’re an SDE you can easily be an L6 with very bad English. Take Amazons courses, watch videos, Pay for tutors if you have to. Four - be very good at what you do. Are you an L4, L5? Or L6? This will change the scope of what you do.
