SDE1 is for college grads. People with industry experience typically don't apply for SDE1 positions but get downleveled into them
What about folks with 1-2 years exp (of which there are many)
1 year of experience is basically treated as a college graduate, but with harder interviews. 2 years of experience may get you an interview for an SDE2 position with many being downleveled.
Msft globally is in single digits .seems like only 2 are genuine openings others are old

They the places representing return offers on the side (in which case the situation is even worse) or they don’t post those (in which case the situation is not as worse as described, as a large portion of SDE 1’s are returning interns)
